The earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023, caused great destruction in Turkey and Syria. The 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes affected millions of people, especially in Southeastern Turkey and Northern Syria. More than 50,000 people lost their lives in the earthquake, more than 100,000 people were injured, and millions were left homeless. In the northern regions of Syria, cities such as Idlib, Afrin, Cinderes, and Azez were particularly heavily damaged.
While shelter became one of the biggest problems after the earthquake, we are building a new living space consisting of 200 brick houses in Cinderes Village. This project aims to provide a safe shelter for earthquake victims struggling to survive under difficult conditions.
